Insulin resistance: Metformin is one prescription I believe in.

Insulin resistance: Do the paleo diet or modified atkins that incorporates good carbs from leafy greens.

Look into gluten free eating, but don’t fall for “gluten free” food products at your local grocer because they are full of other refined carbs that will still do you in.

Those of you with insomnia and sleep problems, stay away from melatonin. It has fallen out of favor with medical community, Dr. Oz and natural medical doctors, too. Instead, work on leaky gut syndrome by eating low carb, eat no grains (not even “healthy” whole grains). Try taking a good amino acid complex before bed. Look into getting a sleep study -- you may have secret sleep apnea. Did you ever have braces? Were teeth pulled/extracted? You probably have sleep apnea and don’t even know it!

Do you have silver fillings or crowns with mercury under them? Look into getting the replaced with mercury free dental work by a “biologic” dentist.

39) Thank you for sharing your problems and concerns. They have help me understand what I am facing and hopefully provided me with a starting point to heal my problems.

37) I went through four years of absolute hell to get the answer. Trust me: if you have similar symptoms, get a saliva hormone test done. If your doctor won't do it, save the money and buy it online. They send you the test, you mail it out and they get you the results.

I got a saliva hormone test done, and my progesterone level was a 9 -- almost gone -- and that's out of a possible 75-175. My estrogen was also a little low. However, due to the ratio I had estrogen dominance. I am 29, so yes, this can happen to you in your 20's!

The answer almost came a little too late for me. My symptoms began after I had a baby in 2007. I finally got diagnosed in 2012. The symptoms were: severe fatigue, mental fogginess, only had a menstrual cycle every three or four months, couldn't handle stress well. No doctor could tell me what was wrong.

In the third year of these irregularities, I began having severe anxiety and severe depression. My husband had me admitted to a psychiatric hospital due to his concern because I was very suicidal. Of course, they only offer you antidepressants and anxiety medicines, never getting to the root of your problem. Finally, someone told me about saliva hormone testing, I found an OB/GYN that offered it and went to him. My progesterone was almost non-existent.

I began treatment with a bio-identical progesterone cream and after a month of using it, I decreased my anti-depressant medicine down from 40mg per day to now only 5mg a day, and threw away the rest of the anxiety medicine. Thank God, I finally found the answer. I feel so happy now, about back to normal, and all those symptoms are pretty much gone!

It is so sad to think the medical field and regular doctors never help women. They just say yeah, a lot of women have irregular periods and depression/anxiety. Getting the hormone diagnosis and replacement may have very well saved my life. The credit goes to God, because he heard my prayers at my lowest hour.

You are experiencing ascension symptoms while the planet and the environment is going through major physical changes.

Just as mother earth is releasing toxins that man has caused for centuries, we are feeling unexplained symptoms. You are also feeling symptoms from star surges.

Ascension is an evolutionary process which involves raising human consciousness.

This will create a much more highly evolved planet and a much more highly evolved human.

As the ascension process continues, the inhabitants of the earth will "ascend" through the human body and return to Source, or the Creator.

So feeling the spiritual awakening symptoms of ascension is a very necessary part of man's evolution.

Here are some ascension symptoms that I have felt:

  • Changing sleep patterns: restlessness, waking up two or three times a night. Feeling tired after you wake up and sleeping off and on during the day. I sleep for about 2-3 hours, wake up, go back to sleep for another couple of hours, wake again, and go back to sleep again. I have felt a surge of energy coming into my body from the crown which has kept me awake for a long time, then it subsides.
  • A pressure or sense of emotions congested in the heart chakra (the middle of the chest). This is not to be confused with the heart, which is located to the left of the heart chakra.
  • Old "issues" re-surfacing and people with whom I need to work it out appear in my life suddenly. There are situations we need to complete and emotions to release. Such as working through issues of self-worth, abundance, creativity, addictions, etc.
  • Your senses become much stronger which leads to Increased sensitivity.

Sight: Blurry vision, shimmering objects, seeing glittery particles, auras around people, plants, animals, and objects.

Hearing: Increased or decreased hearing - muffled hearing as if under water. Other symptoms are hearing white noise in the head, beeps, tones, music or electronic patterns. More and more people are discovering that they hear voices (from the spiritual realm).

Senses of smell, touch, and/or taste are increased. I can smell and taste chemical additives in some foods in a rather unpleasant manner while other foods may taste wonderful. There are also some foods that I no longer like.

  • Power surges: All of a sudden I feel hot or cold from head to toe. It is a momentary sensation, but uncomfortable. More recently I experience waves or currents of energy rolling through me. Sometimes the energy is so intense I feel a little nauseated.
  • Ascension Weight Gain. I have been gaining and losing weight rather quickly.

Read this explanation that makes it easier to understand what you are experiencing and how you can ask for help:

People from all over the world visit salt mines in the Himalayas, Austria and Germany, known for their salt hot springs, where people go to rejuvenate and to have a sense of well-being. This is from the dry negative ions in the air caused by the salt. Many people visit the oceans and sea for this benefit.

The flu is a respiratory infection that spreads easily. It is caused by the influenza virus.

This virus circulates each year in Québec and elsewhere in the world. In Québec, it mostly spreads during the end of the fall to the beginning of the spring.

The duration of the flu season may vary. As such, it may start earlier or later and last shorter or longer depending on the year.

Flu symptoms, which appear suddenly, and their severity, can vary depending on age and health condition. The main symptoms are the following:

  • Sudden fever between 39 °C and 40 °C (102 °F and 104 °F)
  • Sudden cough
  • Sore throat
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Headache

Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain may also be experienced. These symptoms are most common in children.

Brain Chemistry: In the brain, amphetamines cause the release of chemicals called catecholamines, in particular dopamine. The effects of dopamine are especially strong in areas of the brain responsible for producing pleasure, which is known as the “reward pathway.” The effect produced on this pathway heavily contributes to addicting quality of amphetamines.

Social: Many people begin taking amphetamines to lose weight. In today’s society we still are bombarded with images suggesting the ideal body type is thin. For girls, their self-image is largely affected by body perception. During puberty when it is natural for girls to gain weight, they often diet. When they reach a point when they can’t seem to lose more weight and feel weak due to lack nutrition, many discover amphetamines. For boys, body image is also important and male models are also thin. In addition, many boys engage in sports that require a lower body weight such as track or a sport where lower weight will give them an advantage such as wrestling where losing a few extra pounds will put them at the top of the next lower weight class. For both males and females, amphetamines also provide the added benefit of increasing energy and performance.

Another social cause of amphetamine use disorders are factors related to comfort in social interactions. Many people in the US experience social anxiety. Amphetamines can make people feel more comfortable interacting in social situations and become more talkative.

Life Stressors and Lack of Coping Strategies: Many men’s and women’s lives are filled with real or perceived stressors that appear to build up with no end in sight. Some individuals have difficulty tolerating stress due to never having learned adequate coping strategies. Even for individuals who have coping skills to rely upon, when experiencing numerous, uncontrollable stressors over a period of time, the sense that they have no ability to alter the occurrence of these stressful life circumstances leads to a state of helplessness. Some of these individuals begin taking amphetamines to escape from the world for a while, and upon discovering how better things appear to be and how much more tolerable stress seems, continue taking the substance until an addiction develops

Employment Factors: Today’s world has become extremely fast paced, and frequent technological advances can increase stress levels for those who aren’t able to keep up. Many of these individuals feel unable to compete for or keep the better jobs currently trending in our society. Additionally, in addition to job related factors, the ability to fit in and be perceived as a team player or maintain the persona of the boss also adds to the stress of remaining competitive in today’s job market. In order to increase energy, alertness, concentration, self-confidence and sociability, many individuals will begin taking Amphetamines. The addiction process in this situation is often rapid due to the fast acting nature of the substance and positive effects experienced in areas many people want to improve. Over time, the psychological addiction surpasses the physical one, as any success achieved is attributed to the effects of the drug not the capabilities of the individual.

Signs and Symptoms of Amphetamine Abuse include:

  • Mood/Psychological symptoms:
    • Despite psychological problems caused or worsened by amphetamine use the individual continues to use the substance
    • Improved mood or euphoria
    • Increased sociability and self confidence
  • Physical symptoms:
    • Craving
    • Despite physical or health problems caused or worsened by the drug the person continues to use the amphetamine
    • Tolerance – The individual needs to take more of the substance to achieve the desired effects or continuing to take the same amount results in decreasing effects.
    • Increased Respiration
    • Increased blood pressure
    • Dilated pupils
    • Increased energy, decreased fatigue
    • Increased alertness
    • Decreased appetite
    • Increased body temperature
  • Behavioral symptoms:
    • The drug is taken in larger amounts or over a longer period of time than intended
    • Attempts to cut down are unsuccessful
    • A great deal of time is spent obtaining, taking or recovering from the substance
    • Continued use of the substance despite the Inability to fulfill role responsibilities at home, work or school
    • Giving up important activities
    • Use in situations the individual knows are dangerous
  • Social symptoms:
    • Relationship problems caused or worsened by amphetamine use, yet the individual continues to take the drug
    • Difficulty with social problem solving
    • When large amounts are used: over-talkativeness, manic like social presentation and failure to read social cues

Over time the effects of amphetamine use can become increasingly problematic. These include:

  • Aggression, Violent Behavior or Hostility
  • Paranoia
  • Anxiety
  • Emotional numbing with sadness, fatigue and social withdrawal
  • Entitlement regarding obtaining positions of power or influence
  • Convulsions
  • Lowered social inhibitions leading to engaging in behaviors with negative consequences
  • Altered sexual behavior – often increased sexual promiscuity but may lead to decreased sexual activity as well
  • Unrealistic evaluation of ones abilities, talents and level of leadership at work or school
  • Hallucinations especially hearing voices or conversations that aren’t real
  • Delusions

  • Cardiovascular system failure
  • Stomach Pain and Nausea
  • Frequent Headaches
  • Dehydration
  • Blurred vision
  • Skin disorders
  • Seizures
  • Coma
  • Death

Amphetamine withdrawal symptoms are similar to those related to the other stimulants. These include:

  • Depressed mood
  • Fatigue, exhaustion, difficulty staying awake
  • Vivid, unpleasant dreams
  • Insomnia or hypersomnia at night
  • Increased appetite
  • Psychomotor retardation or agitation
  • Anxiety
  • Short term memory loss
  • Inability to concentrate, pay attention or remain alert
  • Difficulty making decisions
  • Frustration over perceived decreased ability to function in most areas of life

Not only is aspartame (AKA Nutrasweet, Aminosweet, and Equal) extremely dangerous, it is also very addictive.

Before I go on, please read my article on Aspartame Dangers if you have not already. Withdrawal is just ONE of the many reasons to stay away from this poison (that is certainly my opinion).

Treatment of infections can be through several different strategies.

Prevention of infections is difficult, if not impossible, if the intent is to avoid all possible sources of infection.

The cheapest, easiest, and most globally effective method for infection prevention is good hygiene.

Washing your hands frequently is perhaps the single most important measure to avoid more personal infections, and avoid transmission of harmful microorganisms to others.

Vaccination is another powerful method in avoiding infections. Vaccination programs have been effective in reducing many viral and bacterial microorganisms to the history books.

What is Mononucleosis?

Infectious Mononucleosis also known as Mono or Glandular Fever or “the kissing disease“, is a severe infection caused by Epstein Barr virus.

This cruel disease is commonly found in children as well as in young adults.

Is Mononucleosis Contagious?

Mono is a contagious disease and can easily be transmitted from an individual to another.

Moreover, the Epstein Barr virus has no noticeable symptoms and so it cannot be detected earlier and is considered as a common cold. This increases the development of mononucleosis and leads to various health related problems. Living under the threat of mononucleosis is really disgusting and miserable because the Epstein Barr virus has the ability to develop lifelong process in the human body. A person suffering from chronic mononucleosis only knows how devastating this disease is.

2. Respiratory Symptoms

As the fever subsides, cough, runny nose and sore throat will become more common. In some cases, these symptoms can become worse, eventually developing into pneumonia or bronchitis if the symptoms are not treated. In most cases, respiratory symptoms will disappear after a week, though it is possible for the cough to last for several weeks.

3. Stomach Symptoms

Many strains of the condition will cause irritation in the stomach. Because this is so common, this particular type of flue is often referred to as a stomach flu though the virus does not specifically affect the stomach. Stomach symptoms include nausea, loss of appetite or vomiting.

  • Bacterial pneumonia. Pneumonia is one of the most common complications that stems from an infection. This virus damages the lungs which can restrict the airways and increase the risk of developing an additional bacterial infection, including pneumonia. Pneumonia is caused by bacteria increasing rapidly in the airways, causing fluid retention, inflammation and swelling of the lungs' air sacs. If the lungs start to fill with fluid, it can make it hard to breath, causing shortness of breath, chest pain, coughing and fever. This is a serious concern for those with chronic illnesses or elderly people.
  • Encephalitis. This is a rare condition that is caused by the brain becoming inflamed due to exposure to the influenza virus. This condition is signaled by headaches and fever which will develop into confusion, drowsiness, seizures, loss of consciousness or coma.
  • Myositis. Myositis largely impacts children, causing muscle inflammation or tenderness in the legs. This inflammation can make it difficult to move or lead to muscle weakness as well. These symptoms typically last around 1-5 days.
  • Reye's syndrome. Some children and adolescents can develop this neurological disease that causes delirium, nausea, vomiting or confusion. In some cases, this syndrome is caused by taking aspirin to help manage influenza symptoms like fever. Talk to your doctor before giving aspirin to an underage patient to make sure it is safe.
  • Others. In addition to causing more serious complications, the respiratory symptoms associated with this virus may cause bronchitis, sinus infections or ear infections.

Medical Treatments

In most cases, there is no need to administer medication to those suffering from the flu. If necessary, antiviral medications such as zanamivir or oseltamivir can be administered to help shorten the duration of the illness or to lower the risk of additional complications developing. Oseltamivir is taken orally and zanamivir is administered with an inhaler like you would use asthma medication. These medications can cause side effects including vomiting. Oseltamivir increases the risk of self-harm or delirium in teenagers.

Home Remedies

  • Fluids. Drinking plenty of beverages like juice, water and warm soup can help prevent dehydration when suffering from the flu. Make sure you drink enough to keep your urine a pale yellow color.
  • Rest. Make sure you get plenty of sleep to encourage your immune system to fight the infection.
  • OTC pain killers. Pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can help manage the body aches associated with the flu. Aspirin should not be given to teens or children as this increases their risk of Reye's syndrome.

  • Flu vaccine. Every year a new flu vaccine is developed that contains the antibodies for the strains of flu anticipated to be prominent that season. These vaccines are commonly administered as a nasal spray or injection.
  • Avoiding spreading virus. While there is no way to completely prevent the flu, there are steps you can take to prevent spreading it to others. Wash your hands, scrubbing them for 15 seconds to rid your skin of traces of the virus. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is also helpful in keeping the skin clean. Cover the mouth and nose when you sneeze, but use a tissue or the inner portion of the arm instead of your hand to avoid getting the virus on your hands where it can be spread. Try to avoid crowded areas like public transportation, child care centers or office buildings during the peak of flu season to avoid coming in contact with the virus.

Symptoms of Swine Flu - Know the Difference Between H1N1 Flu and Regular Flu

By Arunraj V.S. | Submitted On August 12, 2009

Swine Flu is a number one health concern the world over. The HI1N1 flu or Swine Flu was first detected in US in April 2009. The worst affected areas initially were Canada and Mexico before H1N1 flu cases began to emerge in other areas of the world. In a short span of four months, the disease has spread to almost all regions in the world. World Health Organization has called H1N1 as pandemic which means a big epidemic that involves the entire country or perhaps the world. Usually, the signs of a pandemic are when a virus without any immunity to stop it, spreads across various parts of the world.

Risk factors of Swine Flu
Swine Flu spreads from person to person in the same way as regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. People with high risk for seasonal flu are also at high risk for H1N1 flu. For example, people above 65 years of age, pregnant women, children below 5 years of age and those with chronic medical conditions and lifestyle diseases like diabetes are at high risk.

Symptoms of Swine Flu
In children, the symptoms of H1N1 virus include:
1. Rapid Breathing or Difficulty in breathing.
2. Grayish or Bluish Skin Color
3. Dehydration
4. Persistent of severe vomiting
5. Not able to interact properly with people, become irritable
6. Flu like symptoms, bad cough and fever

In adults, the symptoms of swine flu include:
1. Shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing
2. Pain in chest or abdomen
3. Sudden dizziness or loss of energy
4. Severe or continuous vomiting
6. Flu like symptoms, bad cough and fever

  • hohes Fieber
  • Schüttelfrost
  • Abgeschlagenheit
  • trockener Reizhusten
  • seltener Husten mit zähem, teils blutigem Auswurf
  • Schnupfen
  • Halsschmerzen
  • Rachenentzündung

    • Temperature rises and remains high for about 10-14 days. Body temperature typically rises in the evening and drops in the morning.
    • Skin eruptions appear, tongue becomes dry and gets white patches in the center, which causes oily taste in mouth and inflamed bones.
    • Fever comes down gradually by the end of fourth week.
    • Poor sanitation, contaminated water and infected milk are some of the main factors responsible for typhoid.
    • Flies contaminate the food with germs. People carrying the germs can also spread the disease if they prepare or serve food.
    • Wrong dietary habits and faulty lifestyle lead to accumulation of toxic waste in the body and promotes typhoid fever.
    • Typhoid is common in people who eat more meat and meat products.
    • Complete bed rest is essential.
    • Patient should be kept on a liquid diet of orange, barley juice and milk. Orange juice, especially, hastens recovery as it increases energy, promotes body immunity and increases urinary output.

Implementation of anti-fly measures, proper disposal of sewage, boiling or thorough purification of drinking water and pasteurization of milk are some of the preventive measures.

San Francisco, Calif.: Does the release of Tamiflu from U.S. stockpiles have any affect for the average citizen here? Is it now easily available?

Richard Wenzel: This is an effective anti-influenza drug, especially in preventing infection among exposed, but not ill people. It also has a modest effect in treatment. The drug is available.

Pork: Does swine flu have anything to do with eating tainted pork products?

Richard Wenzel: No. There is no risk of swine flu from eating appropriately cooked pork.

Anonymous: Thanks for taking the question. My family and I recently visited Cancun for spring break. My husband had felt achy, chilled and fatigued after returning home however had no sig cough. He has since improved however remains tired. Everyone else is fine. Any cause for concern?

Richard Wenzel: This is a difficult question. Approximately 20% of people have general fatigue after some infections like mononucleosis of cytomegalovirus and sometimes after influenza. It would be best to have a checkup with your physician.

Washington, D.C.: I heard that the Swine Flu is suppose to hit the Washington Area hard. Is this true and what can we do to protect ourselves?

Richard Wenzel: No one knows what cities will be hit, or how hard the virus will be. Because Washington, DC is an international city the chances of bringing infections from other countries and other cities is great. At this point, you should be alert to the degree of infections in your own city, report to a physician with respiratory infections and maintain careful hand washing. Despite the custom of handshaking, it is reasonable to avoid that custom for the time being.

Baltimore, Md.: I've read that this flu has disproportionately hit healthy young adults instead of children and elderly people. Any thoughts on why?

And do you think we will be raised to a WHO Phase 4 or 5 at this point?

Richard Wenzel: It is likely that people over age 60 have some cross reacting antibody from prior infection with a related virus in years past. This remains to be proved. Thus, young adults are disproportionately infected.

I am surprised that WHO did not already call this a level 4.

It is a contagious and infectious condition which often manifests itself as major pandemics, which may occur in any season interspersed with seasonal epidemics of varying severity.

Influenza is more prominent during the winter season. In winter, the immune system of the body is weak. As people usually stay indoors and are in close proximity to each other, it spreads quickly during winter.

    Prognosis of Influenza

The prognosis of Influenza is more severe and lasts longer than ‘common cold’. Recovery period of flu is about one to two weeks. The person remains contagious for about six days from the date of infection.

Influenza leaves the respiratory epithelium weak and prone to several other infections and attack by other pathogens. Influenza can be life threatening when it develops into pneumonia. It may affect people of any age.

    Types of Influenza

There are three types of influenza viruses, they are:

    1) Type A influenza virus which generally affects the mammals and birds like ducks, chicken and in some cases human beings. There are three variants of Type A influenza viruses namely H1N1 (e.g swine flu), H1N2 (e.g Asian flu and Hongkong flu), and H1N3 viruses.

    2) Type B flu virus that infects only humans. This causes mild fever and is less harmful than type A flu.

    3) Type C flu which causes mild respiratory infections. virus C. The symptoms of Type C influenza infection resembles the symptoms of common cold and is not pandemic. This flu infects only humans.

    Causes of influenza

Influenza is usually caused due to faulty eating habits (dietetic errors) and unhygienic living conditions, like stuffy rooms. Anxiety, overwork, Lack of exercise and faulty lifestyle also provide grounds for influenza infection. The flu virus spreads easily through the saliva droplets released in the air due to sneezing and coughing of the person infected by flu and can infect and weak person quickly.

The birth of influenza virus is closely associated with birds(Avian flu) and other animals (e.g swine flu). Thus Influenza pandemics often originate in places where human beings live in close proximity of animals.

    Symptoms of Influenza
    The symptoms of influenza are:

    • High fever (upto 40 ° C)
    • Chills and headache
    • Sore throat
    • Dry cough
    • Irritated eyes
    • Nasal congestion and Congestion of the lungs
    • Body aches including Muscle and joint pain
    • Wheezing
    • Fatigue

Do you think my husband is poisoning me? I drink a lot of water and healthy drinks and my diet is actually good. I eat red meat once a month, eat vegetables and fruits, fish, and chicken. This is been going on since 2004. If I was being poisoned, it could be off and on. Only when I have life insurance and it's not even a lot of money. Am I dealing with a crazy man?

    2) If you have feasible proof, divorce your husband. What if you can ot prevent the continued poisoning? Death is the result. Run and do not turn back.

    1) I have been poisoned two times that I know of by my husband. The first time had to be liquid because I had left a tape recorder on and heard him say he put it in my watermelon. It had to be liquid.

Is there some way they do this or can it be purchased in liquid form? The last time he opened a soft drink for me before I got in the car. Can it dissolve that quickly? What am I dealing with here and how do I avoid this?

Does a Britta water filter keep my drinking water safe from it?
